What you'll be doing

As the Administration Assistant, you'll play a key role in keeping the day-to-day operations of Bottle Tree Feedlot running smoothly. Reporting to the Administration Manager, this varied role combines front-of-house responsibilities with essential administrative and operational support. This role suits someone who is highly organised, proactive and enjoys working in a fast-paced rural environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming calls and greet visitors at the front desk in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Assist with new employee inductions and maintain employee information and training records
  • Receive and sort incoming mail, packages and deliveries
  • Operate the weighbridge, including cattle and commodity processes, entering delivery details and directing truck drivers
  • Process invoices, raise purchase orders and manage the shared inbox
  • Support WHS record-keeping, including incident reports, hazard registers and safety inductions
  • Maintain filing systems, contact lists and inventory records
  • Order office consumables and assist with meeting preparation and general office upkeep
  • Provide general administrative support across the site as needed

What you'll bring

  • A friendly, approachable and professional communicator
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Reliable, diligent and able to juggle competing priorities under pressure
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic operational environment
  • Certificate III in Business Administration (desirable) and a valid driver's licence
