What you'll be doing
As the Administration Assistant, you'll play a key role in keeping the day-to-day operations of Bottle Tree Feedlot running smoothly. Reporting to the Administration Manager, this varied role combines front-of-house responsibilities with essential administrative and operational support. This role suits someone who is highly organised, proactive and enjoys working in a fast-paced rural environment.
Your key responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming calls and greet visitors at the front desk in a professional and welcoming manner
- Assist with new employee inductions and maintain employee information and training records
- Receive and sort incoming mail, packages and deliveries
- Operate the weighbridge, including cattle and commodity processes, entering delivery details and directing truck drivers
- Process invoices, raise purchase orders and manage the shared inbox
- Support WHS record-keeping, including incident reports, hazard registers and safety inductions
- Maintain filing systems, contact lists and inventory records
- Order office consumables and assist with meeting preparation and general office upkeep
- Provide general administrative support across the site as needed
What you'll bring
- A friendly, approachable and professional communicator
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- Reliable, diligent and able to juggle competing priorities under pressure
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic operational environment
- Certificate III in Business Administration (desirable) and a valid driver's licence
