Stanbroke is a family-owned and operated Australian cattle and beef business with operations spanning Northern Queensland cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, state-of-the-art cattle feedlots, a fully accredited beef processing facility, and global marketing capabilities. We produce a full range of grain and grass-fed beef categories and export to more than 40 countries worldwide.

Your Role:

As a Leading Hand, you will oversee the day-to-day management and welfare of cattle across the feedlot while providing guidance and support to livestock teams. This hands-on, outdoor role combines operational leadership with practical stock handling, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive feedlot operations. You will be working a 10/4 rotating roster, giving you a structured schedule while supporting the team and feedlot performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading and mentoring a team of livestock hands to maintain high performance and safety standards
• Monitoring cattle health and welfare across feedlot pens
• Assisting with drafting, processing, and cattle movements
• Supporting animal health programs under the direction of management
• Maintaining clean, safe yards and facilities
• Operating plant and equipment as required (training provided)

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in feedlot operations or livestock management
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Hands-on, practical approach with a genuine interest in cattle and agriculture
• Ability to lead, mentor, and work collaboratively with a team
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, hardworking, and eager to take on responsibility
